The Interactive Group Launches Telecomms division
This month The Interactive Group Ltd have launched a Telecoms Division, headed up by our Operations Director, Alison Moore, who has over 20 years experience within the IT industry.
"Most Companies now recognise that migrating their telephony to IP is inevitable, therefore Interactive are very well placed to provide a total solution within our existing customer base as we already understand their current IT infrastructure which will differentiate ourselves from many of our competitors within the marketplace".
Interactive (Telecoms) aims to become your trusted advisor in the following areas;
IP Telephony, Internet Connectivity, Blackberry & Mobile devices.
Traditionally Companies have kept phone systems (voice) & IT networks (data) separate but with the introduction of convergence this has now changed the way we do things.
In simple terms IPC means providing a common interface to all forms of interaction within an organisation, this is achieved by joining together all means of communications (voice, data & video) into a single, easy to manage network with fully integrated applications such as voicemail, email, fax, CRM, Internet etc.
Utilising these technologies will provide significant savings for your Business.
A Key message from Gartner:
Voice/data convergence based on IP telephony & VoIP will have started in more than 95% of major companies by 2010.
If you need convergence or mobility solutions, but you don't yet know how to deploy them or do not have the resources to support this infrastructure then Interactive (Telecoms) can help! For further information please contact alison.moore@interactiveit.com or call 0121 2602600.
Google close to becoming UK's biggest advertising earner
Google is all-set to eclipse ITV as the UK's highest-earning advertiser, if the 2006 trends for the two continue in the near future.
Sales and advertising revenue from new media outlets has been growing fast and newly-released figures show Google's advertising revenue grew by 83 per cent during 2006.
That gives the internet giant a total income of £821 million, eclipsing the £775 million garnered by Channel 4 and leaving it now only behind ITV.
The commercial TV king is expected to announce revenue of around £1.47 billion for the year - still some way ahead of Google but a year-on-year drop of almost ten per cent as internet adverts gain an ever larger share of the market.
And, following Google's big money acquisition of video-sharing site YouTube, the company now looks set to outrun its screen rival by the end of the decade as more people become internet conversant and broadband coverage widens.
Small and medium-sized marketers have found particular benefit in advertising online, as they are able to place low-cost adverts with a potential to reach a high number of people.

This week we bring you a simple but handy hint - if you are going to be copying and pasting text between documents, use Notepad, rather than Word to avoid any formatting when you paste into your new chosen document.
Another addition to the Interactive family - we'd like to extend a warm welcome to Gareth Harcombe, who joined the Interactive Support team in December. Welcome to the team Babs!
